Environmental Update

Following a review of the organisation's environmental objectives, Plastique has implemented extensive changes to it's waste management practices.

This process has provided reductions in the waste being sent to landfill by more than 20 tonnes per month and has decreased the Nottingham factory's overall waste by more than 95%.

The improvements form part of a longer objective to eliminate all waste sent to landfill by 2012. This and many other activities being undertaken across the organisation demonstrates Plastique's commitment to providing better engineered and more environmentally aware processes which will provide an improved carbon footprint for the company's activities and products.

Plastique are using the BS8555 model for the implementation of their Environmental Management System which will be accredited to the ISO 14000 standard and they are also working towards making certified carbon footprint data available for it's products
